N. sibuyanensis (D)- giant x squat ‘EP’

N. sibuyanensis (D)- giant x squat ‘EP’

Endemic to the Philippines, this species is closely related to N. ventricosa, but it’s characterized by much larger pitchers lacks the constricted waist. A mature specimen is a sight to behold! The pitchers can almost get the size of a football! This a greenhouse bred variety using a giant and squat form of the species. Sib is a pretty easy to grow plant under typical intermediate conditions. A great opportunity for a seed grown species at a large size! LIMITED!

The main image shows a mature specimen at Exotica Plants. The Secondary image shows a sample size of the available plants. 6-8+ inches in diameter. Shipped with roots wrapped in sphagnum. Seed grown.

This plant prefers intermediate/highland conditions.  It should be kept between 75-85F  in the day and would benefit from 10-15 degree night temperature drop.  Nepenthes can acclimate to lower humidity levels, although the best results will be seen in 70-80% range. Bright, indirect light and pure water.

This is a pre-order item due in mid to late April.
